HOW TO BECOME A CHILD OF GOD

Father God loves you so much that He gave His very best to make you His child. God sacrificed His only Son so He could adopt you into His family.

We are giving you some Scriptures to read from the Bible or from this page that will explain God’s plan of salvation.

Here is a conversation you can have with God if you want to accept this great sacrifice He made for you.

Dear God,

“I can never understand why You would want me. I have sinned and can’t understand why You would forgive me. I see in Scripture, Romans 3:23, where You say that all of us have sinned and fallen short of Your glory. I see in, Romans 6:23, where You say that the payment for sin is death or hell. You told a man in John 3:3, that he must be born again to enter Your kingdom.
Jesus, You said in John 14:6 that You are the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father, but through You! Then Romans 10:9-11, says that if I confess with my mouth that, “Jesus is Lord”, and believe in my heart that God raised Him from the dead, I will be saved. With the heart one believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth one confesses, resulting in salvation. And Scripture says, “No one who believes in Him shall be put to shame”, Romans 9:33.
2 Corinthians 5:15 says, Jesus died for all so that those who live should no longer live for themselves, but for the One who died for them and was raised from the dead. I see in Revelation 3:20 Jesus said, “I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and dine with them.”

Jesus, I am a sinner, and I know I have earned eternal death. I want to be born again by Your Holy Spirit. I believe that You, Lord Jesus, are the way, the truth and the life. I confess with my mouth, You are Lord, and I believe in my heart, that God raised You from death after You died on a cross for me. I trust You Lord Jesus and I hear You knocking on the door of my heart. Please come in as I open my heart to You. I accept You as my Savior and Lord. I receive all that You did as You suffered and died for me on the Cross and all that You did in heaven when you presented Your holy blood as payment in full for my sins. I want to live my life in You and I want to live for You, forever! Thank You Father God for saving me! In Jesus’ name. Amen

It is important for you to tell someone what you have just done. God is not religious. He is relational and you are now His child. Revelation 20:12 speaks of the Book of Life. Your name was written in this Book as you sincerely accepted Jesus as your personal Savior.

It was not necessary for you to attend church to receive salvation, however, it is beneficial to your growth in Christ to attend a church that teaches the whole Word of God. Just pray, and ask God to lead you to a church where you will be part of the family of God as you grow in Christ.

Water baptism is a public confession that your old self was buried with Christ and raised anew in Christ, Colossians 2:12.

Even Jesus was water baptized when He was on earth, Matthew 3:13-17.
